Well we are into the strange facts and logics not only in Germany but worldwide.
The people are remaining sick from the Corona virus and die from it. And what the responsible health people do - they tell us rather to start travelling. To countries like Spain where not long ago was one of the worse with Corona infected.
Now they have a Corona hotel there for tourists who show positive tests and have to stay in quarantine before they can go back home. Masks on beaches too, what a wonderful holiday it must be.
And politicians clapping there hands because they know for sure there will be more Corona coming...
Modern Germany, like most places where people live longer and longer, has lot of elderly people than the country wishes for and those die first so to say, when Corona hits.
For Easter 2021 the politicians did not learn anything so now we are into a new wave of sick people and lack of personal and beds at hospitals and even worse than at its top of sickened.
We all know what to do to get out of the situation but there are one odd excuse after the other on why we all cannot get vaccinated.
But really, who cares, there are too many people all over the world anyway. Trust me, the economy in Germany will bloom after politicians here are done and Corona is gone. And hopefully less overcrowded...
So there will be less elderly people, less sick people and less those who suffer from long-term sickness. All thanks to Corona.
For those who still want to stay healthy - enjoy nature as long as that is allowed, stay home and stay safe.

Bit facts in Corona times...
Spanish flu 100 years ago took lives of between 50-100 million people who were mostly young and healthy. At that time there were about 1.7 billion inhabitants on earth.
Now we are almost 8 billion people and circa 2 million have died of Covid-19 till march 2021.
It means that in the comparison with Spanish flu 100 years ago Covid has caused death of half a million people...
So till February 2021 Covid-19 have shown a mortality rate of approximately 1-3 percent of confirmed cases. Spanish flu rated 10-20 percent and was also going on for couple of years.

We are here into German logic logistic
and think this road sign could mean:
2. There will be a tree in the middle of the road if you drive at 70.
3. There are cars hitting the tree before you when you drive at 70.
Tell us now your ideas!
I´ll never love again
Don't wanna feel another touch
Don't wanna start another fire
Don't wanna know another kiss
No other name falling off my lips
Don't wanna to give my heart away
To another stranger

| David Dherbécourt |
A frenchman who came to Oldenburg for love and stayed on after breaking up with girlfriend. He went on doing his best to make a life in Oldenburg as he has got no one close in France after his both parents passed away.
- But then an illness hit me hard and I had to change way of living completely and also stopping the art studies I had started, David Dherbécourt explains.
His creative way in different forms such as clay, wood and stone but also with painting in oil kept him going. Besides that he started several art associations in town.

These figures only David has managed
to make in one piece each

Now David has just turned 60 on 17th of August living free style of life in middle of the town of Oldenburg, Lower Saxony, Germany with a few hens around him and growing his own flowers and tomatoes in garden!
Besides the bio cultivations his hobby is music and an old record player takes on also the modern classic LP:s from 1970 in their original covers.

He is also importing the french chestnuts in tins for sale and you have probably seen him roasting those for Christmas at Lambertimarkt.

| Here at Abraham Place there are nine figures to be seen |
Some of his stone art is to be seen in center of Oldenburg where his statues adorn the Abraham place since many years. There are in total nine of them and David had to find sponsors to get them done as the Town did not have the money to pay him for the work.
- So Oldenburg got them really cheap, he says with a smile.
On 12th and 13th of September 2020 you can visit David when he opens his gates to show his work and where some of the art will be for sale.
- There will be something to drink too for everyone and the weather will be good they say.
You will find Davids workshop and garden at Kortlangstr 5 in Oldenburg on the coming Saturday and Sunday between 12 and 18 hours both days.
Enjoy our gallery below and see many more of David´s work this weekend by visiting him in person!

You have nice bits of fabric or wall paper that you just
cant throw away.
And probably a lamp that you really dont like because
of its horrible lamp shade.
Here is a tip how to make it all useful!
![]() |
| To get this result we started with... |
...this old grey shade:
So take par metre of a nice wall paper and
tear it into rough pieces.
It looks funny here but you
can do it in different shapes.
Then just put bits randomly on to the shade with wallpaper glue until the shade is completely covered.
Let it dry.
At the end you can cut the edges with a small sharp knife so that it fits the lamp, see below.
Done!
It all took less than one hour to do!
You can also use newspaper or pages from an old book.
Or why not write some text on it!
Good luck!
